Internal medicine is one of the most extensive and foundational specialties in medicine. It covers the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases affecting vital organs and systems, including:

• the respiratory system (lungs)
• the cardiovascular system
• the gastrointestinal tract
• the genitourinary system
• the endocrine system
• the musculoskeletal system (rheumatological diseases)

Due to the broad scope of the specialty, a number of narrower areas have emerged from it, such as gastroenterology, pulmonology, cardiology, nephrology, and others.

Our internists work in close collaboration with colleagues from other specialties, with the goal of achieving an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment tailored to the individual needs of the patient.
