Cardiology deals with the treatment of all lesions of cardiovascular system, inclusive: arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), cardiac rhythm disorders, ischemic lesion of heart (breast pang, stenocardia), myocardial infarct, heart diseases (acquired valvular diseases and congenital heart diseases), inflammatory lesions of heart muscle and heart membranes (myocarditis, pericarditis, endocarditis). The reduction of risk of the onset of cardiovascular lesions (prophylactics, preventive cardiology) is very important task of cardiology in the recent years.

 Cardiovascular lesions undergo quick development, due to which frequent control of the status is necessary, especially in acute coronary syndromes, hypertonic crisis, inflammatory lesions of heart. Treatment of these lesions necessitates high qualification and rich clinical experience, which provides quick and accurate diagnosis, accurate treatment and correct estimation of prognosis (eventual lesion course).
