At the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) department at DCC VITA, the most up-to-date methods for diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose and throat conditions are applied.

Diagnosis and treatment of ear conditions:

• Acute and chronic conditions: ear infections (otitis) in children and adults
• Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
• Balance disorders
• Eustachian tube dysfunction

Diagnosis and treatment of nose conditions:

• Acute and chronic conditions: rhinitis, sinusitis, allergic diseases
• Nasal breathing difficulties: deviated nasal septum, nasal polyps
• Diagnosis of snoring through endoscopic examination of the upper airways during induced sleep and a full sleep study (polysomnography)
• Conservative treatment of sinus conditions: cysts, facial neuralgias, tooth-related sinusitis

Our clinic is staffed by some of the leading specialists in this field, ensuring you receive the best possible diagnosis and treatment.

• We perform specialist diagnosis of inflammatory, allergic, tumour-related, and traumatic conditions of the ear, nose and throat using otoscopy, anterior and posterior rhinoscopy, pharyngoscopy, and indirect laryngoscopy.
• Where necessary: additional diagnostic tests (clinical laboratory, X-ray). Identification of the cause through microbiological testing and appropriate treatment.
• We carry out surgical outpatient procedures: paracentesis (a minor surgical drainage procedure), maxillary sinus puncture, incisions (abscess, boil (furuncle)), Politzer manoeuvre (a procedure to clear the Eustachian tube), and others.
• We perform extraction and aspiration of foreign bodies from the ear and nasopharynx. For nosebleeds (epistaxis): anterior and/or posterior nasal packing with monitoring of blood count and blood pressure.
• We treat hearing disorders (reduced hearing, tinnitus).
• We perform audiometric examinations for diagnostic purposes.
• We issue documents certifying hearing loss.
• We prepare documentation for hearing aid fitting.
• We also fit medical ear piercing earrings.
