Reconstructive Surgery

In the Department of Plastic-Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, we carry out diagnosis, active treatment, and early rehabilitation of adults with burns, soft-tissue defects of various etiologies - vascular, metabolic, post-inflammatory, traumatic - as well as congenital and acquired skin defects.

The activities of the physicians and medical specialists include treatment of:

• Surgical and intensive treatment of limited burns
• Conservative and surgical treatment of all consequences of burns - normotrophic and hypertrophic scars, keloids, contractures
• Chronic and hard-to-heal wounds of traumatic, vascular, metabolic, and inflammatory origin
• Reconstructive interventions for congenital and acquired conditions, covering the full range of reconstructive surgery: free and pedicled skin autografting, tissue expander techniques, synthetic skin substitutes - Integra, as well as combinations of these methods
