"Vita" Hospital organizes free screening of patients with renal stone disease

The campaign takes place on the occasion of World Day for Prevention of kidney disease

 

In connection with the World Day for the prevention of kidney disease "Vita" Hospital organizes free screening with ultrasound diagnostics of patients with renal stone disease. Examinations do not include clinical laboratory tests.

 

The campaign will be held on March 8th (Friday), from 14:30 to 17:30, the consultations will be led by Dr. Nicholay Milushev - Head of the Urology Department at the hospital.

Renal stone disease (nephrolithiasis) is a disease with the formation of gallstones (stones) in the renal pelvis and its cups, which can cause complaints from a change in the patient's location in the basin, but most often the expulsion through the ureters, bladder and urethra. It is assumed, however, that latent forms are 4 times more.

 

Renal stone disease is most common in countries with warm, dry climates, such as Balkan Peninsula endemic area (ie the disease is common) and considers that 2% of people become ill annually, and the frequency is similar in both sexes.
