Assoc. Dr. Vladimir Rusimov, PhD, is part of the team of specialists of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the VITA Medical Center since 2024.
From 2006 to 2007, he headed the "Arthroscopic Traumatology" department at the Third Orthopedic Traumatology Clinic of the "N. I. Pirogov".
In 2007, Dr. Rusimov, MD joined the Arthroscopic Traumatology Clinic at the Department of Orthopedic Traumatology and Reconstructive Surgery of the Academy of Medical Sciences, and 5 years later he headed it. In 2015, he acquired the academic position of Docent.
Education:
He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1995. He obtained a specialty in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2002. In 2012, he obtained the educational and scientific degree of Doctor after successfully defending his thesis on "Arthroscopic stabilization in anterior traumatic shoulder instability".
Prof. Dr. Rusimov's specific professional interests are in the field of shoulder surgery - fractures, endoprosthetics, arthroscopic reconstructions and muscle-tendon transposition, as well as in the field of arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee and ankle joints. He has more than 100 publications, reports and participation in congresses, conferences and courses at the national and international level.
Prof. Rusimov, MD does not examine children.

Specialized in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, etc. with acquired certificates in the relevant field;
Certificate for highly specialized activities in "Arthroscopy" - 2002;
He is a member of BOTA, EFFORT, ESSKA and SICOT.
