Prolactinoma is the most frequent tumor of hypophysis. It affects mainly females. Depending on the size, they are micro /up to 10 mm/ and macro /over 10 mm/. Tumor cells secrete prolactin hormone. Hyperprolactinemia leads to menstruation disorders, secretion from breasts and sterility. Visual disorders appear in bigger size of tumors. Diagnosis is established from the level of prolactin and magnet resonance tomography of hypophysis. Normally treatment is medicinal – by dopamine agonists /Parlodel, Dostinex/. Transsphenoid adenomectomy is carried out at visual disorders.
