DCC VITA Expands Its Medical Services with Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation are now part of the medical services that DCC VITA offers its patients. The new unit is focused on the recovery of patients with pain and conditions of the musculoskeletal system, after injuries and surgical interventions, with neurological problems, as well as women during pregnancy and after childbirth, and infants and children with motor development disorders.

Treatment in the new unit is prescribed individually by a physician specialized in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, who carries out a medical and functional assessment of the patient's condition. Taking into account the diagnosis, the stage of the disease, and any possible contraindications, the specialist selects the most appropriate procedures and determines the duration of therapy.

Depending on the specific condition and the therapeutic goals set, various methods of physiotherapy and rehabilitation are applied. The unit has modern, highly specialized equipment for electrotherapy, ultrasound therapy, magnetotherapy, light therapy, high-energy laser, vacuum therapy, deep electromagnetic stimulation, and cryo- and compression therapy. There are also options for passive mobilization of the shoulder and knee joint, which allows for gradual restoration and maintenance of range of motion in cases where active movement is limited.

Physiotherapy and rehabilitation are applied to a wide range of conditions - from musculoskeletal diseases, injuries, and pain syndromes to neurological conditions, recovery after surgical interventions, and periods of prolonged immobilization. In children, therapy can be aimed at motor development disorders, while in women it can address conditions related to pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Patients can also consult a specialist without a specific complaint. A preventive assessment is particularly appropriate for a sedentary lifestyle, prolonged work in a seated position, or recurring back and joint pain. Based on the assessment, the physician can prepare an individual program that includes therapeutic exercise and physiotherapy procedures.

The goal of the therapy is to support the recovery of motor function, reduce pain, and improve the patient's physical condition and quality of life.
