The First VITA BARIATRIC SYMPOSIUM will be conducted on the 25^th and 26^th of October 2019 at the VITA. Multidisciplinary hospital for active treatment jointly with the hospital Krankenhaus Sachsenhausen – Germany.

Honorable guest and lecturer shall be Prof. Dr. Plamen Staykov – one of the great names in the European metabolic and bariatric surgery.  He is the Medical Manager of Sachsenhausen hospital, Executive Manager of the medical network Frankfurt Rein-Main as well as the Director of the Training center IBC Oxford and honorable professor at the National Medical University in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

He shall have lectures and demonstrative operations within the First VITA BARIATRIC SYMPOSIUM where all specialists on this topic for two days shall be brought together, with the active participation of physicians from the Center of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery of VITA Hospital.

Notable habilitated endocrinologists from Bulgaria as well as leading names in Bulgarian metabolic surgery, nutrition and psychology shall participate by lectures.

Live demonstrations of the latest achievements in this type of operative treatment of morbid obesity and diabetes shall be carried out.
