• In 1979, Georgi Pehlivanov graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia
• Obtained specialty in Dermatology in 1984
• Defended a thesis in Social Medicine and Public Health in 1996
• Obtained a Master's degree in Health Management in 2004
• Completed specializations in Austria, Hungary, and France
• Member of the Bulgarian Dermatological Society
• Associate Professor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the Faculty of Medicine, Sofia

Until 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Pehlivanov served as Head of Department at the Dermatology Clinic of the University Alexandrovska Hospital, where he practiced diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases and diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.

Since 1996, he has been organizing and leading the annual course on "Sexually Transmitted Diseases" for dermatologists under the postgraduate training program at the Medical University of Sofia.

In 1996-1997, he worked on a part-time basis at the Ministry of Health as Chief Expert in Dermatology.

Since 2007, he has been organizing the Scientific and Practical Conference on Dermatology "Varna Dermatological Days".

In 2008, he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Dermatological Society.

He has over 100 publications in Bulgarian and foreign journals, more than 150 participations in Bulgarian and international scientific forums, is the author of two monographs, and co-author of five guides and textbooks on dermatology and venereology.
