Information

Dr. Elena Dimitrova has been part of the DCC VITA team since August 2025. She is a medical resident in pulmonology with clinical and academic experience.

Education:

• Dr. Dimitrova graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2021
• In 2022 she began a doctoral program at the Military Medical Academy, with her scientific work focused on the study of immune-mediated pneumonitis in oncological patients treated with immunotherapy.

Qualifications:

• Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, the Bulgarian Society of Pulmonary Diseases, the European Respiratory Society (ERS), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO)
• Completed specialized training at Thoraxklinik Heidelberg, Germany, within the ERN-LUNG Academy, with a focus on rare and interstitial lung diseases
• Actively participates in clinical trials and scientific forums related to innovative approaches in respiratory medicine
• Regularly participates in international training and conferences in the specialty

Dr. Elena Dimitrova does not see pediatric patients.
