Dr. Ilian Staykov is a specialist in General and Clinical Pathology with professional interests in the diagnosis of oncological diseases and modern molecular pathology.
He graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia in 2018. From 2020 to 2024, he completed his residency in General and Clinical Pathology at the Clinic of General and Clinical Pathology of MBALСМ "N. I. Pirogov", where from 2025 to 2026 he worked as a physician in General and Clinical Pathology.
He furthers his qualifications through specialized training in the field of molecular pathology and personalized medicine, including the academies "Lung Cancer" (2024) and "Brain Tumors" (2023).
Dr. Staykov actively participates in national congresses and conferences on pathology. He presented scientific work at the National Conference on Pathology in 2019 with a clinical case of small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the ureter, and in 2026 with a presentation on the topic "Microcystic Urothelial Carcinoma: Morphological Features and Biological Behavior - a Clinical Case".
His professional interests are focused on histopathological diagnosis of neoplastic diseases, molecular pathology, personalized medicine, and oncopathology.
