Dr. Ivan Inkov

Information

Dr. Ivan Inkov is part of the team at VITA Hospital as a specialist in thoracic surgery and oncomamology. He performs diagnosis, conservative and surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the breast.

He graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Pleven, after which he obtained his specialty in thoracic surgery. He further advanced his qualifications with international postgraduate training, including a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Thoracic Oncology from the University of Zurich, a Certificate of Competence in Breast Cancer (CCB) from the University of Ulm, and an International Diploma in Mastology from the University of Montpellier. He is a graduate of the College of the European School of Oncology (ESCO Graduate) and an ambassador of the European School of Oncology (ESO) for Bulgaria.

His professional career began at the Military Medical Academy, Sofia, where he completed his residency and worked at the Clinic of Thoracic Surgery and Oncology and the Breast Unit. Over the years, he has served as a consultant mamologist at MC Salvebis and the association "I Have the Strength to Fight", worked in the Department of Breast Surgery at Acibadem City Clinic UMBAL Tokuda, and is currently part of the teams at MC Inspiro, MDC Preventika, DCC Neoklinik, MBAL Serdikamed, and MBAL VITA.

Dr. Inkov participates annually in international training sessions, congresses, and specializations in oncoplastic surgery, diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, and Greece.

He is the author and co-author of dozens of scientific publications in the field of thoracic surgery and oncomamology, as well as the books "Breast Diseases" (1st and 2nd editions), "Breast Diseases in Men", and "Pulmonary Diseases". He serves as a scientific reviewer for international medical journals and participates in the development of the OncoAcademy platform for oncologist training.

He is a member of several international professional organizations, including:

His professional interests are focused on the prevention, early diagnosis, and modern surgical treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases, oncoplastic surgery, treatment of mastitis, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases.

He performs comprehensive preventive and diagnostic examinations, including:

• Assessment of individual breast cancer risk
• Clinical examination and ultrasound of the breasts
• Development of an individual treatment plan
• Oncoplastic and radical breast surgery
• Follow-up and preventive recommendations

Dr. Inkov sees women, men with breast diseases, and children over 8 years of age.
