Dr. Natalia Gabrovska, MD, PhD

Dr. Natalia Gabrovska has been part of the team at VITA Hospital since June 2026.

Her professional journey began at SBALDB "Prof. Ivan Mitev", where she completed her residency in Pediatric Diseases in the period 2009-2014. Between 2015 and 2018, she specialized in Pediatric Pneumology and Phthisiatry at MBALBB "St. Sofia", and in the period 2015-2019 she was a doctoral candidate at the Department of Pulmonary Diseases of the Medical University of Sofia.

From 2018 to 2021, she worked as a pediatric pulmonologist at the Children's Clinic of MBALBB "St. Sofia", and from October 2021 to March 2026, she was part of the team of the Pediatric Pneumology Clinic at SBALDB "Prof. Ivan Mitev", where she served as Head of the Clinic in the period 2025-2026.

Dr. Gabrovska performs diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory system in children. Her professional interests lie in the field of preventive and prophylactic pediatrics, foreign body aspiration, rare congenital diseases of the bronchopulmonary system, interstitial lung diseases, bronchial asthma, and surgical conditions in pediatric pulmonology.

Education:
She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2007. In 2011, she obtained a Master's degree in Health Management. She obtained her specialty in Pediatric Diseases in 2015, and Pediatric Pneumology and Phthisiatry in 2018. In 2019, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Comparative Study on the Diagnostic Value of a Modern Gamma-Interferon Test Applied to Blood and Bronchoalveolar Lavage (BAL) in Children Suspected of Tuberculosis".

Since 2018, she has been a lecturer at the Medical University of Sofia, successively holding the academic positions of "assistant" and "chief assistant", participating in the training of medical and dental students, interns, and residents.

She is the author of numerous publications in Bulgarian and international medical journals, one monograph, and has participated in four scientific projects and a large number of national and international scientific forums. She has over 1000 international citations.
