Dr. Svetlin Ivanov has been part of the team of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Vita Hospital since July 2026. He has nearly 30 years of professional experience in the field of anesthesiology, resuscitation, and intensive care.
Dr. Ivanov graduated in Medicine from the Higher Medical Institute of Plovdiv in 1996 and obtained his specialty in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in 2010.
His professional career began in 1997 at the Centre for Emergency Medical Aid in Montana, where he worked as a resident physician. From 2003 to 2014, he was a physician in the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care at MBAL "Dr. Stamen Iliev", Montana. In 2014, he worked at the Military Medical Academy, Sofia, where he participated in an operation of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
From 2014 to 2016, he was an anesthesiologist-resuscitator at the 2nd SAGBAL "Sheinovo", and from 2016 to June 2026 worked as an anesthesiologist-resuscitator at SAGBAL "Dr. Shterev". In parallel, he has been part of the teams at II MBAL, Sofia (2015-2018), MBAL VITA (2018), and MC "Medicom" (from 2024).
Dr. Ivanov has extensive experience in providing anesthesia for various types of surgical interventions, perioperative patient monitoring, and treatment of critical conditions in the intensive care unit. His professional interests are focused on modern methods of general and regional anesthesia, intensive care, and patient safety in the perioperative period.
