Dr. Yordan Trifonov has been part of the team at VITA Hospital since April 2026.
He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in December 2024 with distinction. Since 2023, he has been a volunteer at the Pediatric Pulmonology Clinic of SBALDБ "Prof. Ivan Mitev", where he gained valuable clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases in childhood. From April 2025 to March 2026, he completed his residency in Pediatric Pneumology and Phthisiatry at SBAL for Pediatric Diseases "Prof. Ivan Mitev", and since April 2026 has continued his residency at UMBAL "Alexandrovska".
Dr. Trifonov performs diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases in childhood.
His professional interests are focused on bronchial asthma, bronchiectatic disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, interstitial lung diseases, congenital diseases of the respiratory system, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic management of tuberculosis. He has an interest in functional and imaging diagnostics in pediatric pulmonology and the timely recognition of foreign body aspiration.
Dr. Trifonov actively participates in national and international congresses, as well as training programs in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology.
