Dr. Zheni Panayotova, MD, PhD, is an obstetrician-gynecologist and a specialist in prenatal diagnostics and therapy based in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has over 16 years of medical experience.

She graduated in Medicine in 2007 from the Medical University of Sofia. In 2008, she began her specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Second Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment in Obstetrics and Gynecology "Sheynovo."

In 2014, she continued her specialization at the University Hospital "Maichin Dom" and obtained her specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In May 2023, she defended her doctoral thesis on the topic “Modern Ultrasound Methods for Diagnosis and Management of Placenta Previa and Placenta Accreta” and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor (PhD) by the Medical University of Varna. She also holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Management from the Medical University of Sofia.

Dr. Panayotova performs the following examinations:

• Monitoring of high-risk pregnancies
• Assessment of placental pathology
• Combined first-trimester screening for chromosomal abnormalities
• Early fetal morphology (16–18 weeks)
• Detailed fetal morphology (20–22 weeks)
• Late fetal morphology (28–30 weeks)
• Fetal biometry and Doppler studies

In 2011, Dr. Panayotova completed a specialization at the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) in London, where she trained under Prof. Kypros Nicolaides, one of the world’s leading experts in fetal medicine. Three years later, she obtained a Diploma in Fetal Medicine. She speaks English fluently.
