Dr. Zhivko Siromakhov

Information

Dr. Zhivko Siromakhov is a urologist with experience in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant diseases of the urinary system, transurethral surgery, and endourology, and has been part of the team at MBAL and DCC VITA since March 2021.

He performs modern surgical treatment of a wide range of urological conditions - urolithiasis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, oncourology, and urinary tract infections. His main scientific and professional interests lie in the fields of oncourology, laparoscopic urology, and the use of lasers in urology.

Education:

• Graduated from the Medical University of Varna in 2014
• From 2014 to 2020, completed his residency in Urology at the Urology Clinic of the Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Oncological Diseases, under the supervision of Prof. Krasimir Neykov
• He has numerous publications and participations in international symposia in Bulgaria and abroad

Qualifications:

• In 2018, he was nominated by his colleagues in the Credoweb campaign "The Doctor Who Inspires Me - Urology Specialty"
• Course in Laser Urology (Barcelona), Surgical Treatment of BPH (Heilbronn), Reconstructive Urology (Berlin), Ultrasound Diagnostics (London), Kidney Transplantation (Madrid), Diagnosis and Treatment of Prostate Cancer (Vienna), Diagnosis and Treatment of Bladder Cancer (Munich), Core Course of the European Association of Urology (Prague)
• Specialization at the Urology Clinic of the First State Medical University, Moscow, Russia
• Individual course in Vascular Surgery at the Vascular Surgery Clinic, Acibadem City Clinic, Sofia
• Participated in the writing of two oncology textbooks for medical students
• Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, the European Association of Urology, and the World Association of Urology

Dr. Siromakhov does not see pediatric patients.
