1. From external genitals – in genital herpes, wounds, acute inflammatory process. 2. From vagina – acute vaginal inflammation, dilated venous vessels, atrophy of vaginal mucosa – after discontinuance of menstrual cycle. 3. From uterine neck – inflammatory processes of neck and cervical canal, “wounds”, polyps of uterine neck, malignant neoformations. 4. From uterine body – inflammatory processes of uterine mucosa, polyps in uterine cavity, disturbed or non-developing pregnancy, cancer of uterine mucosa, related to inflammatory lesions of adnexes or ovarial cysts, functional disorders of menstrual cycle. Diagnosis is placed after clinical examination, vaginal ultrasonic examination, laboratory tests, colposcopy, hormonal examinations.
