Symptoms differ, depending on the occlusion place

Brain embolism leads to insult and successive paralysis

Occlusion of abdominal artery leads to acute abdominal pains

Occlusion of blood vessel of the hand or leg leads to cooling down, loss of sensitivity and paralysis of the affected extremity

 

Therapy:

Urgent consultation at hospital institution, with vascular surgeon, if possible.

 

Complications:

Loss of function of affected organ or extremity
